Courtland Manor provides our residents with engaging and exciting activities that are tailored to their needs and accommodations. Our Activity program is designed to stimulate the Residents socially, physically, cognitively, spiritually and sensually. Some examples of our program include arts and crafts, social groups, movies, bingo, religious services and special holiday festivities. The programs can be tailored to fit the functioning level of every resident. In addition, Courtland Manor offers a separate activity program to Residents located on our Dementia Wing which is designed to allow Residents to reach their individual potential. We can also help with special family occasions, providing private areas for your function.
They treated me with kindness and respect; like I was family. Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the kitchen service. The place was terrible and so were the staff members.. They didn't get him out of bed that much. He got physical therapy, but they stopped having it for him.

Finally got that working but it still took 30 to 40 minutes for a response from anyone. She complained of knee pain and finally 3 days before her discharge they took an zray. Of course it showed nothing , but after discharge I took her to an ortho doc and she had a blazing infection behind her knee which was causing all the pain. Last but not least the day of discharge, not a single person helped me get her out to the car.

They seem to be very concerned and the other residents are very pleasant and helpful. I've been there for lunch mainly and the food is very good. What I like about Forwood Manor is its size. I also like the fact that you pay by the month. We did try the food there, and it was fine.

The therapy team was excellent and getting therapy 6 days a week was very helpful in my recovery. Rose was wonderful - she went above and beyond her PT requirements. When I was ready to give up, she stayed with me and talked to me until I calmed down. She is so kind and caring (& very good at PT, too)!! The Manor Care staff was wonderful.
My mom was admitted to this facility from the hospital for rehab. She was weak and needed OT, PT, and nursing care. One meeting right after she got there and then no more communication from them. Their Covid 19 communications were right on time and kept you informed, unfortunately that does not cross over to the patient care or the staff. Her PT person didn't know she was being discharged that day, She thought she had another week to work with her.

The therapists who work with her have been very caring people and pleasant to work with. She has a good relationship with them, so that part is very good. She is sharing a room that's kind of crumby. At Courtland Manor Nursing & Convalescent Home, we are providing quality care in a family atmosphere. We are a family-owned and family-operated facility that gives your loved ones the attention and care they deserve.
You also consent to us, or our provider partners, to contact you using a system that can auto dial. You do not need to consent to use our service. The dining room facility was VERY nice. They have a restaurant on the first floor and smaller dining areas throughout the wings of the building.
The residents' comfort and dignity are our top priorities. We do not nickel and dime our residents or families, all necessary supplies and services are provided under our per-diem rate. We are also happy to provide meals to friends and family visiting a resident "On The House."

My dad is doing very well at Forwood Manor. Everything has been very good and we haven't had any complaints whatsoever. They treat him very well, and they're very attentive. He has been gaining weight while he's there.
There were people in the hall in wheelchairs. My friend had a trainer that was coming, she was going for exercises, and her doctor came to see her frequently. Another new facility which is just up the road will have independent living, assisted living, and memory care but no nursing.
